    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Hilary for Prez

I'm still trying to figure out how she became a Senator in New York when she wasn't even a resident of that state until running for that office. I can't believe New York residents actually voted for someone to represent them that obviously wasn't even interested in living there until it served her political goals....... :rofl:
 
New York has the easiest residency requirements of all states. All you have to do is have a physical address to be a resident of NY. Bobby Kennedy did in 64 and when the Clintons bought that house before they moved out they did so specifically to establish the residence in NY.

Problem is, and forget herself and the issues, I don't think anyone will ever forget the baggage she carries from Bills 8 years in office. Some might view her a victim, but I wouldn't be surprised to find that the image of victim is exactly what she wanted.
 
I think there are probably more people that think she wore the pants in the family, even then. I would be really surprised to hear that the majority viewed her as a victim.

Anyone else agree?
 
Possibly a victim when it comes to the Lewinsky affair, but she knew what Bill was doing when he handed out amnesty at the end of his term. The Clinton's don't do anything without a political motive. IMO the Dem's are crazy if they nominate her. I don't think she can win in a National election. If my small group of liberal friends are any indication, they don't even like her.

Well let me put it this way, I think Hillary is smarter than Bill ever thought to be. Now with that being said I agree with Kevin in that they (the Clintons) didn't due anything without and agenda. (Well Bill may have done a few things without an agenda :rofl: )

And Denise is right she isn't a victim I just think the spin doctors are going to paint the picture when her past is brought up.

I had said when the Lewinsky affair came out that she wouldn't divorce him because with him and playing martyr was more advantageous than divorcing him.

Now with all that being said. Again Kevin is right, she is not electable for the general public. She might be popular but she couldn't beat a trained monkey with the organ grinder as VP.
 
He doesn't exactly fit in the Hillary for Prez thread, but I have to say....I like the man. Nice to see someone who tells you what he thinks not what he thinks you want to hear.
 
I can not think of Hilary as a victim, not even with the "affair". I believe Bill Clinton was probably doing this type of thing for a long time, he just got caught this time. The way she handled it, or lack of handling it told me a lot about her and what is important to both of them in their relationship.
Although I believe some of their ideas are good ones, they are all about power.
I also believe that a woman can be prez, just not this woman.

Of course she wore the pants in the family as Bill's pants were usually at someone else's house!

The Lewinsky affair was a red herring. It took national focus off of the fact that Bill Clinton had been trading damning favors with Communist China. Of course a sex scandal would grab the headlines and bury the actually more important transgressions.

Personally, I believe the Bill and Hillary both used each other and that was a pact they both understood and accepted.
 
Not to cause chaos, but as for Me and Mine...We LOVE Hillary! We'll vote for her. We are Democrats Yes, and we HATE Busch! I've never been so poor and bad off in my LIFE until he came along. I typically don't say this but I wish that man a life of misery and a painful lonely death.

If your age is correct on your profile, you were all of 11 or 12 when he came along; I'm not seeing how he could have caused anything by coming along in your adult life (which is where choice and success really kick in). ;)

Also, nope I don't drink and the statistics don't lie. The Economy WAS actually better when Clinton was in office.
 
Ah, but statistics can very easily be skewed.....or misunderstood by those who lack the knowledge to understand what they actually represent.

Kristin, no offense intended, but you really need to educate yourself before entering the arena of politics. Bush has not done anything to make your life worse. The Clintons did not do anything to make your life worse or better. I make far more money right now then I ever did under the reign of the Clintons. Is that to the credit of the Clintons or Bush?

Not in a million years. That credit is due to my hard work and effort. I am so tired of people passing off their financial situations on the government. If you want a better life for yourself then go out and make it. Go back to school. Take some online classes. Spend your free time with your nose in the books. I am in my 30's and I still average 1 book (and no, not your Harlequin one's) per week. That's right, per week. I have 3 children at home with one more due any week now. I run a very successful business with multiple locations, I am the President of the Chamber of Commerce, I exercise weekly, I am active in both the Share programs and our church, and most importantly, I am the husband to a wife that I don't deserve. If I can find time to continually make my life better than any one can.

If you want to continue to stay where you are financially then continue what you are doing.....blaming others. If you want to reap the benefits of hard work then you must pull yourself up by your boot straps because nobody else is going to do it for you.
