    =====================

I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I have a mystery snake that popped out of the egg (to me, at least).
I'm thinking enchi pastel but I'm not very sure? The head is weird.

Pairing is lemon pastel enchi x champagne ...
Female is the champagne and she was a virgin and was not paired with any other males.

As soon as I saw it I was thinking fire, but obviously I don't know what I'm talking about :p

A quick google search of pastel enchi looks about right. Very nice blushing, congrats.

It does kind of remind me of a vanilla cream. When my VC was a neonate it looked a lot like that.

The only thing is that the head doesn't match the famous enchi stamp. :X And it looks nothing like the father, which is a lemon pastel enchi with the famous head stamp.

Just doing some minor research, I think the only possible combos (assuming the genetics of the parents are a for sure) would be an enchi pastel or an enchi champagne. The pastel champagne wouldn't have a distinguishable pattern, but the enchi champagne does. It also looks SUPER blushed out to just be an enchi pastel, so my guess would be option 2. Probably better to ask someone who didn't think it was a completely different gene from the start though -.- lol

I'm pretty sure this little one is the enchi champagne. It has too much pattern to be champagne and enchi does some weird stuff to it.

It obviously has the enchi/pastel eyes, so one or both are undoubtedly in there. I'm pretty sure you were spot on, but this is based on my knowledge of google images and not personal experience :p

I'm going to keep my dummy mouth shut now and let someone who knows better give their input.

To start - I suck at this game.
Also, I don't think that it is a given that enchi champagnes will have distinct pattern.

That snake doesn't look like normal pastel enchi to me...if that's what it is, you scored an exceptionally nice one. The one at the top right of "entire clutch" pic looks pastel enchi-ish (that isn't the best pic for identifying; so I'm just saying it has that look).
How about pics of the parents?

*Edited to add - get that crinkly one on the bottom right in some water

Here is dad when he was a little smaller.

The only thing I know 'bout them is that the lemon pastel enchi is ph pied, and the champagne is ph ghost.

Harald, I don't know very much about champagnes, but if there was something like fire or another lightening morph in it would one be able to tell since the pattern is already so reduced? I honestly have no idea, it was just a thought when you mentioned seeing the parents.

And yea, I only saw two pics of pastel enchis that looked similar but those were out of how many total? If those are the only three genes possible you got some good ones.

I'm starting to wonder if the baby might be enchi pastel yellowbelly. Looking at some pictures, some of them have weird heads and it'd explain the strange blushing.

The lemon pastel enchi was also advertised as "fader" but I don't think that's an actual gene. Hm.

Also, that doesn't look like a fader at all to me. Fader pastels are usually super blushed out, they almost look like a super pastel...and the 'fader' gene, as far as I understand it, is just attached to the pastel gene, it can't actually be transferred by itself. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.

'fader' gene supposed to be 'fader gene'. I think it's pretty well accepted that it is NOT a separate gene. Again, correct me if I'm wrong.

Just took some pics of our pastel yb 'fader' so you can see the difference. The fader is very obvious if it's there from what I know. Will upload in a second.

I've definitely read....things...about Kevin, but this is what a fader looks like. That's just a pastel yb 'fader', no other genes as far as we know. So yea, if it's there it is very obvious, but again, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

For comparison, this is our pastel yb (NOT fader). There is still some blushing, but nothing close to what the fader pastel has.

Here are some more pictures of our "fader" yellowbelly pastel.
The fading on his head is especially noticeable.
His yb flames also connect to his faded out back.
