Critter Mom
Exotic Pet Guru
Hello!
I'm Critter Mom and I am "Mom" to my fiance and my "pet managerie" as it has been called. It consists of various snails in the mating process. I have a clutch of "mystery snail" eggs which I believe I may have a buyer for some of them, but I may be advertising on here to sell some if I get over run a bit with them. I have enjoyed this project so far and love watching them.
They are in with my Chinese firebelly newts though for the most part I don't recommend mixing species, but they seem to be fine. My newts love eating the small "pond snails" among other things. I have ramshorn snails too that seem to be breeding.
I also have 3 hermit crabs that are doing well in another 10 gallon aquarium with calci-sand they love to burrow in. I have found the perfect combination of things for their environment to keep them healthy and happy and they love to be handled, or at least 2 out of 3 do.
I have 2 bearded dragons and we are preparing for them to breed, so I may be advertising on here eventually to sell some beardie babies. I have someone locally who is interested in some of them. I am in the process of looking for a larger enclosure for them as they are growing leaps and bounds and showing maturing behavior.
Last but not least, we have a male sugar glider and are working to have a female for him. We are only planning to breed him enough to give us a couple more for ourselves, but if it turns out that the market is not oversaturated with them we may breed ours to sell as well. We'd hate to see the little guys turning up in shelters!
I am also an Assistant Daisy Girl Scout Leader and enjoy many other things, but I don't want to take up too much of your time. If you want to know, just ask!
Thanks for reading,
