One of my baby beardies is growing great but can't seem to use his left paw. He can move his arm fine but from the wrist down it doesn't move, toes included. It looks like he got nipped on the elbow and it is healing over great. My concern is of course his inability to move his paw. Is there anything that you guys would recommend that I do? Finding a reptile vet around here is hard and I have called around and the only thing that they can tell me is to take it to the vet and the zoo if I need it looked at.
He moves fine and eats great. He has no trouble getting around at all and eats more than his fair share of crickets, small mealworms, and greens. But again, I am very concerned about it. I dust the crickets and worms and have fed them phoenix worms while I had them. I always have fresh greens available. I have an Exo Terra UV lamp that supports 2 10.0 desert UV bulbs. The heat lamp is a 150 watt red heat bulb. I take them outside 2-3 times a week to soak in water and get natural UV rays.
If you can help out it would be great. The only thing I can come up with is that the nip had caused it. If you think that there is some other reason or if you think you can help me fix the paw it would be greatly appreciated.
