Hi Everyone!
It's been a long time since I've posted anything about my leos...Probably because everything has been going smoothly.
The reason for this post is as follows:
I have a female leo that is about 1.5yrs old, and weighs in normally around 43grams. She is on a diet of mealworms, with a few crickets once in a while. I've been contemplating the idea of breeding her and my other female, a 64gram and still growing 1.5 yr old. My worry is that the smaller one (Lolita) is too small from what I can tell (most people seem to recommend a female well into the 50g range before breeding. Lolita even has little fat pockets around her front legs (one on each side of each leg). I wish she would just gain some size though.
Any thoughts on this? Especially concerning breeding? I don't want to do anything to stress or harm her, but was just wondering if other people have experiences like this? Perhaps she is just on the petite side, the opposite of the giants?
Thanks for any help or opinions!
