    =====================

I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

Shame on me for not creating a good gal post for her before! And shame on everyone else who hasn't already done it!

I like Carol a lot because she has pretty much the same taste in corn snake morphs as I...and also because she has allowed me to purchase some of her gorgeous animals to add to my collection.

You will NOT be disappointed if you buy corns from Carol!

Traci,

I said this in another thread very recently but it's applicable here too:

Jim O said:
...people expect good things to happen and often do not go out of their way to post it when it does. On the other hand, people usually will complain about bad things.

How many times do people go to the manager to compliment good service at a restaurant? Most often they let a nice tip speak for itself. But when service is bad the manager usually hears about it and the tip comes in short. That is simple human nature.

This forum will work best if people do post their good experiences and the bad ones. I recently initiated a few "good guy" threads on people, some of whom are in the business a long time with very good track records but about whom nothing had EVER been posted. I plan to keep doing that. Many people do, but many more should.
Thanks for doing just that!!

I agree 100% Carol has top notch animals and is always pleasant to deal with. I am always happy to add her stock to my own.

Thanks Carol for some awesome animals over the past couple of years.

Jeez, now I feel like a cad. I forgot to put a post here as well!
I got some of Carol's corns last fall, and they are absolutely gorgeous, and wonderful feeders. Growing like weeds!
Service was great, excellent person to deal with!

Traci, I too feel it is nice to see good guy/gal posts as well. The fact that you used the word "super-duper" was iceing on the cake! :)

Carol definately has some "super-duper" corns in her collection. For those interested check out http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=44
to see what she is working with this year...Her striped Miami phase corns are really something to see :*)

WOW! Things have been a bit crazy around here and since I haven't even considered buying any more animals, so I haven't been checking in.

Thank you so much for all your kind words! I try my best to make the best snakes I can and honestly represent them. It is so great to know it is appreciated! I couldn't do it without such great customers!

Carol is great ! Excellent communicator and really nice snakes. I just received 2 healthy beautiful Corns from her.

A pleasure to do business with her (smile).

I have to agree that Carol is top notch. I recently made a purchase from her and everything went smoothly. I am very happy with the quality of the animal I received from her.

I was on the selling end of a completed deal today, and Carol is one of the best I've dealt with. Communication was excellent, paid early and in full, and she let me know immediately when her new snake arrived today.

I may have to find some funds later in the year to check out the quality of her animals since I"m sure the pictures don't do them justice!! I know I would not hesitate either rmaking a purchase from her or sending animals her way again.

I just completed a deal for two pair of corn snakes with Carol Huddleston and I must say they are superb. The whole deal was above and beyond my expectations. I would highly reccomend Carol and her snakes without any hesitation. Thanks for some amazing snakes.

Carol's awesome. I've had a number of flawless transactions purchasing from Carol, and I have one pending. :)

Great snakes

I just got a really sharp trio of bairdi from Carol. They arrived fat and beautiful for recently hatched snakes. All were sexed correctly and exceeded my expectations from the moment they came out of a well packed and insulated box.

Thanks Carol!

I have a 2005 Miami corn I purchased from her a year or so ago. Her animals are top notch. Her Miami cornsnakes are some of the best out there. Thanks Carol.

I bought 5 from Carol last year and 1 this year. Really great animals, they love to eat and grow! Keep your fingers well away from the tubs when you feed her babies, lol! I would not hesitate to do business with her again or to recommend her with confidence.

Purchased a Reverse Okeetee from her at San Jose show.
The RO is for my little brother, who was waiting in line at the concession stand to buy an overpriced bottle of cold water - so I stood by the table for quite some time until he could come and pick which RO he wanted.

While I was waiting, I was there for several transactions. I watched Carol explain the dangers of cohab to one customer, I watched her tell another customer where he could get frozen pinkies and explain that all her snakes would take them, and I watched her show a young girl how to properly hold a snake to make sure it was properly supported.

Absolutely fantastic, clearly in the hobby for the right reasons, and a model vendor.

The RO I took home is very good health and an excellent eager feeder.

I just completed another amazing deal with Carol Huddleston from Low Belly Reptiles. Carol was kind enough to hold the little corns till weather permitted shipping and she included an additional Granite back up male at no charge. The snakes were shipped perfectly and I am extremely pleased with them. I highly recommend Low Belly Reptiles and I am sure I will be purchasing from Carol again in the near future.

Geez, I should have updated this months ago! I picked up a bubblegum snow from Carol at the San Jose show and he is fantastic! Eating me out of house and home, and every time he sheds it's like Christmas, he colors up so much! I'll definitely be adding more of her animals in the future. :)

I'm adding my opinion too, better late than never! I have five beautiful cornsnakes from Carol, including a selection of her amazing Miamis. One of these snakes is so gorgeous I can't believe Carol let her go! It is so true that Carol's snakes are the _best_ feeders. My sweetest, most personable snakes have all been produced by Carol, too! She is just excellent to do business with.
