Locally we have a live eagle cam that allows us to watch a pair of bald eagles lay eggs, the babies hatch and we watch them be taken care of. Today the mother eagle was hit by an airplane and was killed leaving the father to care for the 3 baby eaglets. This is heartbreaking and if anyone would like to make a donation in honor of the mother eagle, it can be done at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens website. Here is a link to the article about the death.
