    =====================

    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
    Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

Alright whats everyones opinion on this Is owning reptiles/ breeding reptiles
really an addiction be honest in my case/opinion YES IT IS everytime I go to the Local Reptile Shop Off The Ark Exotic Pets (offthearkexoticpets.com) or a show or any other reptile shop Im like a Child in a candy store I cant go very often any more ( I always leave with somethin new to add to the always growing collection)

I got into reptiles (Burms & Balls mostly My little Bro does Boa's) about 2 years ago (after the Posioning of my LAST APBT (American Pit Bull Terrier) I had I lost 1 to cancer the other died in my arms :( I knew it wouldn't be long and the vet sent us home saying theres nothing I can really do and putting her down would react badly with the amount of posion she consummed

Anyway my Fiancee said get a Reptile I was weary @ first I went seen the Iguana's and wanted one (THANK YOU RYAN FOR TALKIN ME OUT OF IT) Not to say nothing bad about Igauna's they just wouldnt have been for me.
He had talked me into getting a Normal Bp OMG the passion grew n quick I had to get another which led me to getting a male for the female then another female Het Albino ( She's Not big enuff 2 breed yet next year though she will be)
While on Fauna I seen an ad for an Albino Ball (male) I would of literally gave my left hand for instead I gave the gentleman 300 I get home set em up pop him to make sure he is a he not a her but for 300 I wouldnt of cared only to find out hes producing sperm plugs WHOO HOO ( I still have my left hand if anyone has a Albino Female thats breedable:D)

Then the Richmond Reptile Expo ask anyone there I was walkin in circles not knowing what to look at first Yes I left with 2 more Adult Breedable females THANKS 8-BALL PYTHONS

While reading on Bp's I seen the Burm I knew that second I just had to have one I read up on them and bought my 1st 100% het Albino Male Burm which soon led (about 6 months) to aquiring his soon to be mate an Albino Green Burm (female) and another 9 foot Albino Burm Female

Am I the only one who feels like this is an addiction? or Is it just me?
I added up the actuall price I spent last year on Ball Pythons Burmese Pythons & Boa's I could of put a NICE down payment on another house but spending the money on reptiles DONT bother me Its something I enjoy doing and I will be continuing to do for Years to come (knock on wood) Ive traded out some animals Sold some outright N got took to the cleaners :shootfoot over this but yet Im still willing to give it my all n spend another couple stacks over the rest of the 2010 year and Im a SMALL SMALL JUST STARTING OUT BREEDER So Larger Breeders sound similar? Anyone? :D

Im not here To get Filthy Stanking Rich off of breeding Reptiles Thats why I Own my own Business (small engine repair for several Landscaping compinaies in the area) Im in it for the animals I enjoy watching them handling them feeding them buying them but I know NOTHING IS going to compare to feeling I'll get when one of my females wether Burm Ball or Boa to lay eggs n to see what hatches Im waiting for this day till it comes Should be a LATE season Clutch from me by my Albino Male to 2 Normal Female's I know its only gonna be Hets and with my No reputation in the reptile world they Might not sell right? NOT like i said before I been planning before I ever started thinking about Breeding and I have Buyers for EVERYTHING I WILL PRODUCE Now and in the future that I want to sell I wouldnt of thought about breeding if I didnt that would be Un-professional!!!: :iagree:iagree:

How did you get into the Reptile World??

Well untill next time Thank You for reading and commenting
