    =====================

    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
    Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

I have been seeing tons of people post their pictures of the Boa Constrictor Longicauda. So I figured I would follow suit and put pics of mine up. Not sure what I am gonna do with these guys yet. But just beefing them up from their last owner. Let me know what you think.

Good looking snakes :yesnod:
Longtails aren't like Colombians,they dont do "fat" very well.
Lots of junk husbandry advise on Constrictor Longicauda out on the snake forums so please be conservative in their care,we would likely see more of them but folks keep kill'em :rolleyes:

I love Longicauda's...especially anery's, but even normals are beautiful animals. I hope to get one or a pair someday. Nice looking John!!

Yeah I don't keep any of my boas "Fat". I believe they dont' breed as well when they are obese. I really wish this female would have dumped babies for us John. Then you would have a pair for sure lol. Instead a Suriname female that came in with the group ended up dumping slugs. I wish these things were taken care of better by their previous owner. Cause the Surinames would have been INSANELY pretty.

Great looking Longtail. Judging from the pictures, looks just about right to me. Other then just getting them on a regular diet, i wouldn't attempt "beefing" them up. Just my 2¢. :shrug01:

Nice looking animals. Always admired the Anery models, just never quite enough to get me one. LOL

Anery Constrictor Longicauda's are pretty sweet,but the black/yellow
issues anit nothing to sneeze at :D

Here are acouple true bred straight Harding Line

I say one word about beefing them up as they were thin and everyone thinks I am stuffing rats down their throat hourly lol. Not a newbie so don't worry they are in good hands. These along with all the other locality stuff I recently got is all from Dennis Sargent. So bloodline wise not sure exactly other then that. Thanks for all the comments. Hopefully can get some outdoor pics later this week if it ever warms up.

Great looking boas guys! I am thinking of picking up a female I just found. Do you guys think 100 plus like 45 in shipping is too much for one? I don't know much about them.

Taking it a little personal ain't you? You mentioned beefing them up, I said they look pretty good like they are. :shrug01:

Didn't mean to damage your ego or anything. :rolleyes:

A $100USD is way to cheap for a Longtails,I would question its origins
for future use.There are alot of scatter bred Constrictor Longicauda's out there.

Meant no offense by it. But kept seeming like people thought I just started keeping boas yesterday or something. I know I haven't posted in a while. But didn't think I had to start all over again. They don't seem that bad in the pics. Female was bred but personally I don't think she took she is too up and down. She still has that thin look where you can see the backbone. So another 3-4 weeks of solid feeding should get her right on track. The male just seems to be a thinner bodied snake. He is about 4ft long exact weight I haven't even checked. I will throw them on the scale tonight and see what I come up with.

Sorry if I came off like an ass. Didn't mean to. Just seemed like I was getting hassled about feeding them too much or something.

My bad guys

Its alright to be an ass,IN MY PERSONAL OPINION! :thumbsup:

To many candy ass folks in the world these days,they all need to get over themselves.;)
Just pick a side and stay there . . . . . . :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

No worries, or offense taken on my part. We're good. :beer:

Besides, I know you ain't new to Boas. I've seen you around here and there over the years. Who could ever forget the bigdogg? :rofl::rofl:

As I understand it, Longicauda don't get as girthy as Colombian or other S.A. Boa do when adults though. She might always look slim. I know I've never seen one I would call girthy. Never owned one either, so who knows. :shrug01:

I'm sure they're in good hands. Didn't mean to sound otherwise. :thumbsup:

Yeah not real sure myself. This is only the 4-5th set of Longtails I have had. All my other ones were babies though. This is my first set of adults. Im sure they won't be around to much longer unless she dumps a pile of babies. I am getting out of boas. I gave them 5 years to show some production around here. Will always have the love for em. But only gonna keep my Sonoran Project going. The leopard and hypo stuff. Other then that everything else is going away to fund other projects.
