    =====================

    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
    Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Here's What Paying Higher than Market will Get You

    I picked up this girl last year from Garrick DeMeyer. I was just "visiting" his site, I wasn't even shopping for anything, and going through the pastels and this girl just popped off the page: She was far from the most affordable pastel he was offering at the time, in fact, she was about...

    Fresh Shed Sexy

    A few weeks ago I picked up a fire female at the Repticon ICE show. This past weekend, I picked up this sexy fire male from Justin Kobylka. Karl has named him Moses for the burning bush. I thought he was pretty darn sexy when I picked him up, not realizing he was going into shed. I was...

    2011 Clown Female - Updated Pictures

    A friend asked me this morning if I had taken any new pictures of the clown that I produced this year. I had not, so I got busy this a.m. and took some. Here are a few pictures that I snapped off quickly. She's my little over achiever. Took a rat fuzzy the day after her shed and now has two...

    Haven't Shared This Girl Yet

    What does a ball python breeder keep as a pet ball python? Well, a caramel albino, of course! This girl was given to me, because the person that produced her decided to get out of the caramel albino project when all the babies in the clutch (even her) had mild kinks. I promised to give her a...

    Lemon Pastel Clutch #2

    This clutch was sired by the same lemon pastel that sired the one that hatched last week and was very reduced pattern. Just illustrates how well selective breeding works. Both of the dams produced beautiful lemon pastels for me before, so I was confident doing the pairing again. Killed on the...

    First Lemon Pastel Clutch of 2011

    I did this pairing last year, and Deborah Stewart (Stewart Reptiles) has a full sibling of these kiddos, and she looks great at a year and almost 1000 grams now! Got to see her just last week. I was pretty pleased with how these worms turned out! 2.0 Normals 2.2 Lemon Pastels

    POG Clutch

    My very good friend, Deborah Stewart of Stewart Reptiles contacted me last year with a proposal that I send my het hypo female to her for the 2010/2011 season to breed with her POG. Having admired her POG many times when I'd go visit her, I humbly accepted her offer. If you knew Deborah, you'd...

    New Addition

    Hi All! Very excited to add this new male to my collection! I got to visit NERD last month for a few days and see all the crazy stuff Kevin's producing in person, and it's so nice to see Kev in his element, being the hobbiest that he is at heart. He's definitely back on his game, and he's...

    Pretty Pastel is Home and I LOVE Her!

    I've got pastels, and I've been expanding to other morphs over the past few years, so I wasn't shopping for pastels when I stumbled over this girl while looking at Garrick DeMeyer's available page a few weeks ago. Well, I couldn't pass up such a beautiful female, especially since all of my...

    Good Guy Louis Kirkland - Cornerstone Reptiles

    I just picked up a beautiful albino male and lesser female from Louis this weekend. I had purchased the male albino and he hand delivered him to me at the new West Alabama Reptile Expo. He also brought along several other animals to show us, and I couldn't let him leave without bringing home the...

    New Pair of Lampropeltis Triangulum Gaigeae!!!

    I've always been a ball python fan, and never really ventured elsewhere, but started to take an interest in some of the colubrids, and then the black milk snakes. One day when chatting with Kara, I asked her if she had any available black milks, and she did. This pair of San Antonio Zoo line...

    My Newest Addition - Lesser

    I'm very thrilled to have added this beautiful little male to my collection recently. He's everything that I've been looking for in a lesser - reduced pattern, nice colors, great blushing - and a black back to boot! I'm very picky about the animals that I add to my collection, and I had put...
