    =====================

    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

No bites? He really is a nice animal, he's not "taggy," just an extremely shy eater. I have him for sale on my site (just put him up about a week or two ago) and decided maybe to donate some of the proceeds here.

Dean: 100.00

We have 100.00 on the table for this nice Ghost!

*I am going to make subsequent contibution times shorter...like 3 days.:ack2::rofl:

Bidding starts at 100.00. Bidding stops Friday Feb 5, 2010 at 12 midnight. Animal gets shipped out Monday for a Tuesday (delivery weather permitting).

I am Over Stocked (I have two)!

Yearling Pet Quality Orange Ghost Male. I did not breed this male. I call him Breeding OR Pet quality. He eats sporadically, and seems not to have taken to this environment. He may do better and turn out to be a great breeder with someone with few animals in their collection who has time to baby him along or as a single pet animal switched to F/T or PK.

Currently 716 g
Eats live weanling rats (when he feels like eating) Does not like mice, and turns up his nose at ASF.

*Pay with paypal. Price does not include shipping. All live animals are shipped FedEx Priority Overnight.

Half the proceeds go to Fauna!

HA!! He sounds just like a spider I have. He hasn't eaten since he started "smelling girls" a few months ago, but he's with his 4th girlfriend of the season!!

How about $110??

110.00 on the table!

I am sure he will take off:D and become a regular ladies man:thumbsup:. He's a good size for a yearling at over 700 grams. he's just not a regular eater, but consistent growth.

*I have had him since he was a hatchling.

Time is running out...the weather is getting warmer..

Looks like $110.00 will walk away with this nice animal..:rofl:

Seriously?? :shrug01: Dont' get me wrong; taking this ghost home for only $110 will be like winning a prize, but you're gonna make me feel like I'm stealing one of "Deb's Delinquents" if no one bids more for an awesome little snake!

:rofl: Any animal is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay. I can make more.:rofl:

Perhaps talk of his iffy eating pattern has scared some off, but seriously, he's not eating regularly enough for ME. He is a very nice weight for being just a yearling.:thumbsup:

Too bad I dont have the money... =( he fits in my projects =O .. I justbought A ghost girl =O.. he's perfect =/ .. but no money =( ...payments? lol..

Sometimes, that's just the breaks. ;) Thanks for the "compliment" though. :) He is a very nice color, no dulling. I sort of knew I wold be taking a loss when I decided not to use him in my plans. Someone is going to get a nice quality animal for below "market" pricing!:yesnod:

$110.00 is taking this animal home...no other takers?

With $120.99 bid, Angela Adams is currently in the lead to take home that beautiful ball python.

Remember folks, you only have until MIDNIGHT TONIGHT to outbid her!! Get in now while you still can!

We are closing in on the end of Deb's auction, so I am gonna get another one started, to keep this great thread rolling!

Just like Deb's auction, half of the winning bid will go towards fauna memberships.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Up for grabs, is some of my own, hand made jewelry.
Today's auction will be for a nice pair of feather earrings, with a matching necklace.
The earrings are on silver "french wire" style hooks, with wooden beads, long brown feathers and a matching brown "suede" type of material.
The necklace has the same wooden beads, brown feathers, and brown "suede", set on a simple black cord.
This set of jewelry can be worn with a sexy outfit, for an exotic look, or just a tank top and jeans for an earthy casual look.
I will start the bidding at 7$, and the auction will end at midnight (Central Time), next Friday.
(For convenience, please bid in even dollar amounts)
Shipping will be at buyers expense (around 5$)
Here are a few photos I took tonight with them "on" (the earrings are looped through a pair of hoops I have on, therefor they are NOT being worn)
