I have been thinking about this and know the both Mr and Mrs Wise were in the mix.... I hope that everyone looks at this and really buckles down when the vote does happen....

I am starting this thread for a reason... Me owning a site in the past... and being a mod on many other sites I know that a mod can damage a site fast... There is a lot of things he/she can do to bring down the reputation of the site.

I am not saying that the other mods are bad people.. I am not saying I am the man for the job. I can even take my name out of it... What I am saying is... Rich has put something very special in the hands of the members here.... We have all seen elections go bad... Educate yourself for this one....

As we see sometimes things are not what you always see on the forum...

I'm only the mod for the classifieds...I have no permissions elsewhere. I'm not sure when/if Rich will be bringing in the site-wide Mods :shrug01:

No the Moderator position has not been filled yet, Gary. What you stated in your first post is correct on many levels. I have some thoughts on the issue and will not mind making them public when the time comes.
 
I'm glad Gary posted this. I'm also very glad Rich is waiting before opening any voting. How many people would have voted for the Wises had it been opened right up, given the heroic stuff we all thought they were doing. Not cynical ol' me, of course - I have my eye on someone else. ;)

Nick (Polasian) has been added to the team, but not as a site mod. He is the Classifieds Moderator - an addition which was desperately needed, and a role he had basically taken upon himself (the difference now is that he can follow through with things instead of just reporting them). For any of members that thought I was a pain in the butt in the classifieds, Nick is catching more stuff than I did...

(yeah, I started this, then went back and finished reading the thread. I know its all been said already)
 
I have noticed that Nick does work behind the scenes a lot and his input has been made with the goal of keeping things going smooth for the whole of Fauna and not for the elevation of himself. Nicks input has usually been for the betterment of Fauna.

My opinion of Nick rose when he took on himself one of the "lowly" jobs just to help out. I'm glad he's on the team.....



..............now if he would just quit smoking. :)

Grab a broom and dustpan, kiddo!!!

But YES-Nick IS doing a GREAT JOB!!

Thanks my friend! I thought maybe I was gone for days and did not know it...
 
I've been a mod on a few forums, one of them being full of angry women. It is at most times a thankless job and requires an infinite amount of patience. I appreciate everyone who gives their time to better this site and look forward to another mod joining the crew.

Nick is TOO good. He caught me. I've been on here so long and just recently came back and had no location on my profile. He gave me a slap on the wrist! :)
 
To all, I no longer wish to be considered for the moderator position. Not that I would have won any popular vote anyhow. I figured for those who would vote for me now can have their votes counted elsewhere better suited for the position, and, also for someone who wants it.
