I hatched this snapping turtle last season but it came out of the egg early and was very small. Usually these premature hatchlings don't live long but this one has proved an exception as now, a year later, it is still thriving well. This guy eats like a pig and even begs for food.....it just hasn't grown! I've included a pic of this year's hatchling for comparison to give you an idea how little it has grown.
I've raised a few of these runts in the past and they do grow but remain small so if your wanting a snapping turtle that doesn't get huge, this one will be perfect for you.
