    =====================

    I am still waiting on my developer to finish up on the Classifieds Control Panel so I can use it to encourage members into becoming paying members. Google Adsense has become a real burden on the viewing of this site, but honestly it is the ONLY source of income now that keeps it afloat. I tried offering disabling the ads being viewed by paying members, but apparently that is not enough incentive. Quite frankly, Google Adsense has dropped down to where it barely brings in enough daily to match even a single paid member per day. But it still gets the bills paid. But at what cost?

    So even without the classifieds control panel being complete, I believe I am going to have to disable those Google ads completely and likely disable some options here that have been free since going to the new platform. Like classified ad bumping, member name changes, and anything else I can use to encourage this site to be supported by the members instead of the Google Adsense ads.

    But there is risk involved. I will not pay out of pocket for very long during this last ditch experimental effort. If I find that the membership does not want to support this site with memberships, then I cannot support your being able to post your classified ads here for free. No, I am not intending to start charging for your posting ads here. I will just shut the site down and that will be it. I will be done with FaunaClassifieds. I certainly don't need this, and can live the rest of my life just fine without it. If I see that no one else really wants it to survive neither, then so be it. It goes away and you all can just go elsewhere to advertise your animals and merchandise.

    Not sure when this will take place, and I don't intend to give any further warning concerning the disabling of the Google Adsense. Just as there probably won't be any warning if I decide to close down this site. You will just come here and there will be some sort of message that the site is gone, and you have a nice day.

    I have been trying to make a go of this site for a very long time. And quite frankly, I am just tired of trying. I had hoped that enough people would be willing to help me help you all have a free outlet to offer your stuff for sale. But every year I see less and less people coming to this site, much less supporting it financially. That is fine. I tried. I retired the SerpenCo business about 14 years ago, so retiring out of this business completely is not that big if a step for me, nor will it be especially painful to do. When I was in Thailand, I did not check in here for three weeks. I didn't miss it even a little bit. So if you all want it to remain, it will be in your hands. I really don't care either way.

    =====================
    Some people have indicated that finding the method to contribute is rather difficult. And I have to admit, that it is not all that obvious. So to help, here is a thread to help as a quide. How to become a contributing member of FaunaClassifieds.

    And for the record, I will be shutting down the Google Adsense ads on January 1, 2025.

I noticed that Dachiu will be exhibiting at an expo in my area soon and I Was wondering if anyone has had any experience with their animals? I like what I see in the pictures, but I was hoping to get some first hand comments before I bought.

Thanks!http://www.dachiu.com/

Great people with great dragons. They care about their animals and their customers. Can't go wrong with them.

I have never purchased from them, but have seen their animals in person at shows and they are incredible. Some of the nicest, brightest reds I have ever seen.

I suggest getting there early though, he usually is sold out half way thru a show and packs up and leaves. :spinny:

Thanks for the tip! I'll be sure to get there for the show opening.

Great beardeds

They are very helpful, have have wonderful BDs. I'll definatley buy from them again!!

Maybe its a coincidence.....

The person who started this thread joined 2-6-05 kind of fishing for compliments about Dachiu dragons and helpfully listing the URL to their site.

Also on 2-6-05 the user "DACHIU", after being dormant for quite a while, reponded to the Bronx Reptiles thread.

Call me paranoid but I hope this isn't a case of someone registering under a false name to get a positive thread going about themselves.........

I'm not sure what kind of proof would satisfy you, but that is not the case. I just registerd beause I am new to this hobby and am researching for my first BD purchase. I just learned about this site yesterday from a thread on the BD forum at Kingsnake where a helpful poster explained the BOI pointed me in this direction. I posted the URL because I wasnt sure how well known this breeder was, but it now appears that was unneccessary. Sorry if I broke any ettiquette there.

My Bad

Guess I jumped to conclusions.... Welcome to the BOI.... If you read it enough you will probably become skeptical too... Its a great tool but sometimes used for the wrong reasons.... And as you can see Dachiu is getting a lot of positive feedback!

I've talked to the Dachius enough over the last several years to assure you that this isn't the case. I've bought two dragons from them and they've also provided free, and good, advice on many occasions. They have a well-earned and excellent reputation in the beardie community. They don't really need to setup a dummy account to fish for feedback on the BOI. I'd say it's more likely someone they know notified them of a thread about them here, and they remembered they had an account and decided to comment on the other thread. Or simple coincidence.

I have delt with them before. VERY nice people to talk too. They live about an hour away from me, and I have seen there place. It's awesome! They have a good line of dragons, and also a good line of help! Very nice people once again :)

I really have to crack up sometimes when I read some of these threads.Rob & Vickie Dachiu are super people and they breed super dragons.They have an excellent reputation in the beardie world and I personally think that they have the best stuff out there.They also have great customer service and I would Highly recomend them.

I'am a breeder myself and they certainly don't need me or anyone else to pump them up,as they have earned their reputation by producing quality animals and providing quality service year after year.

I saw this thread on here and had to respond. This company is great, I hav met them in person and have bought several of their dragons. Answering questions, the quality of the animal, prices can not be beat.

Great service

I purchased a hypo pastel from Rob & Vickie Dachiu two seasons back. They were great people who deffinatly have a passion for what they do. They had many beautiful dragons, and have a setup any dragon breeder would envy!! I know I did.. I had a good time chatting with both of them, and left with a beautiful new dragon. I give them a thumbs up for sure.

A quick IP check could easily verify that they are seperate or the same. I'd like to think that the Dachius are more respectable than that so I think it's either a coincidence or that they were alerted that they were posted about, hence the seemingly random visit.
